YOUTH MOBILIZATION FOR HEALTH AWARENESS ACROSS PROVINCE NO. 2

PROGRAM OUTCOMES

Overall, more than 40,000 individuals were benefitted across the eight districts of Province 2 from the awareness program. They became aware about dengue as well as many other vector borne diseases, cold wave, tuberculosis and HIV along with the immediate actions that has to be taken against those diseases. Furthermore, youth participation and mobilization was encouraged to prevent and minimize such health problems in the community. In addition, an environment was created in such a way that they were able to express their past experiences without any hesitation.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

•To create the awareness amongst the local community and make them able to spread knowledge with each other so they could fight many health related problem together.
•To develop positive attitude towards dengue, cold wave, tuberculosis and HIV control.
•To share experiences and information with students and local community and discuss the challenges of current health situation.
•To introduce the latest development in surveillance systems, environmental management and vector control, pilot studies of drugs and vaccine development for dengue treatment and prevention.
•To establish communication channel that facilitates and promotes educational material regarding cold wave, dengue, tuberculosis, HIV.
•To create good knowledge exchange between the local health sector and existing experts in the particular field of social aspect.
